New all-weather sports surfaces

Blakedown Sport & Play have completed construction works on a new sand-dressed hockey pitch and acrylic-coated tarmac tennis courts at St. Nicholas’ School in Fleet, Hampshire.

Following meetings with the school, Blakedown proposed an extension to the existing floodlit tennis courts to form a new all-weather sand-dressed hockey surface, plus new tennis and netball court facilities with connecting pathways.

The existing tennis courts were previously unusable during wet winters and frequently became water-logged in rain. The new facility allows hockey to be played during the whole school year plus a wide variety of other sports and recreation activities.
